Beavis and Butthead debate SUCKED

The first McCain-Obama debate is thankfully behind us. It had as much fireworks as the Republican National Convention minus Sarah Palin.

What an over hyped waste of 90 minutes of my life. This debate had about as much excitement and enlightenment as an episode of Oprah Winfrey's Big Giveaway. A three episode marathon of Beavis & Butthead would have been a better use of airtime.

To their credit, both candidates were polished. But so are a pair of spit shined boots sitting on top of a locker. Their responses were too predictable, and Jim Lehrer should not have been left alone to decide the questions.

Equally disturbing were the post debate spins by the candidate's supporters. Fox, full of bull, news declared McCain the clear winner, something they would have done if McCain had not even showed up. CNN, the most trusted bull crap on cable, had a bevy of political analyst pronouncing Obama the winner.

Besides causing me to nod off intermittently and scratch myself periodically, the whole thing had me longing for a Sarah Palin interview.

Let me remind you. There are two more scheduled debates between these two. Can somebody please put together a line dancing class on those nights?

And think, McCain wants to have ten town hall meetings with Obama.
